With Fourth of July just around the corner, many Texans want to celebrate this special occasion to show their patriotism, especially with the proximity of Fort Hood military post. Here are three great Fourth of July events in central Texas that you can attend:
1. Belton’s Fourth of July Parade
The town of Belton is known throughout Texas for its extravagant Fourth of July parade. With a long history dating back to the mid-1800’s, the parade has been an annual celebration ever since 1919. The event features floats, bands, decorated bicycles, classic cars, and rodeo riders.
This event will take place in Downtown Belton

2. Festival on Nolan Creek
Belton is also offering a festival at Yettie Polk Park to add to the Independence Day celebrations. The festival will be available during and after the parade from 10:00am – 4:00pm. The festival will feature something for the whole family. Features include: Kid’s activities, boutique shopping, novelties, collectibles, live music, and a ton of food.

3. H-E-B All American 4th of July Family Fun Fest
The H-E-B All American 4th of July Family Fun Fest has long been a summertime tradition for citizens of Temple and other surrounding communities. The event, scheduled to take place at Miller Park and free of charge, will open at 4pm with splash pad, food vendors, and more. The opening ceremonies will commence at 6:30pm, and the H-E-B’s Fireworks Show to wrap everything up at 9:30pm. Come and join us for a might of music, fireworks, and relaxation!
