Commercial Construction Projects and Improvements in Salado Texas

Main Street Improvements

As of November 2019, Main Street in Salado is getting a major renovation including new sidewalks, benches, parking, and drainage. Main street will soon be easier to shop around with the new sidewalks. The improvements will also allow for more parking and for pedestrians to more easily make their way around the shops. Main Street is also making the long awaited switch from a septic system to waste water. This new $5.2 million project will hopefully attract new businesses and allow the current businesses to expand with the improved infrastructure and additional foot traffic. The project is set to be completed around Summer 2020.

I-35 Construction

In 2017 the I-35 construction in Salado impacted several communities. When the road work was completed, unique businesses and restaurants have brought a new life to the town. For several years the road construction was very intrusive and people seemed to stop coming to the town according to residents. There is now a lot of excitement in Salado that hasn’t existed in quite some time. The town is bouncing back from the construction and appears to be better than ever.
