Community Through Cards – FAQs
What is Community Through Cards?
Community Through Cards is an outreach program hosted by Amy’s Attic Self Storage that brings our community together to share kindness and connection—one card at a time. Each season, we invite local schools, groups, families, and individuals to create and decorate cards that are delivered to retirement communities and first responders.
How long has Amy’s Attic been doing Community Through Cards?
We’ve proudly been spreading kindness through Community Through Cards since 2017.
How often does Community Through Cards take place?
Community Through Cards happens twice each year:
- Christmas / Holiday Season
- Valentine’s Day
These two seasons allow us to consistently reach out and share encouragement when it’s especially meaningful.
Why do we do Community Through Cards?
Giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. This program is a simple but powerful way to show appreciation, spread cheer, and remind others they are valued—especially seniors and first responders who serve our communities every day.
Who can participate?
Everyone! All ages are welcome. Individuals, families, classrooms, schools, daycares, and community groups are encouraged to join in.
Who receives the cards?
Cards are delivered to local retirement communities and area first responders as a small but meaningful gesture of gratitude and connection.
Do the cards have to be handmade?
Not at all. Cards may be handmade or pre-made, and some Amy’s Attic locations offer on-site decorating stations during each campaign.
