Summer school break is quickly approaching, which means you may be considering a summer camp for your child or grandchild. As an active member of the Central Texas community, we have compiled the following directory of Central Texas summer camps. We hope that the listings below of summer camps are a valuable resource to our community.

Although we cannot store your children in our storage units this summer, we can help you find the perfect camp for your loved little one. The camps below are organized by theme. BCYC Summer Camp 2024

Dates: 11 weeks of sessions running from May 29, 2024 – August 9, 2024

Event Features: BCYC summer camp is a great way for your child to connect with other kids in your community! Each week, campers will have opportunities to play outdoors, read, practice sports, learn arts and crafts, go on field trips, and enjoy dance parties. Some of the weekly themes include Superheroes, Disney, Around the World, Hometown Heroes, IMPACT, Nature, Olympics, Christmas in July, Music, Video Games, and more!

Ralph Wilson Youth Club Summer Term

Dates and Times: June 3, 2024 – August 19, 2024, each weekday from 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Event Features: Ralph Wilson Youth Club (RWYC) summer camp provides campers with a blend of social, educational, and recreational activities consistent with the facility’s focus. The camp includes fun activities like arts and crafts, athletic tournaments, video game competitions, and learning activities. Additionally, campers can look forward to exciting planned off-site field trips to the movies, zoo, nature parks, and more!

World Odyssey Summer Adventure Camp

Bluebonnet Shores Girl Scouts 2024 Summer Camp

Event Features: Calling all Girl Scouts! Bluebonnet Shores is ready to welcome a summer of fun for all Girl Scout levels. Formerly known as Camp Kachina, Bluebonnet Shores will provide campers with enjoyable activities and opportunities to develop leadership skills. Campers can participate in a variety of exciting activities such as paintball, archery, tie-dye, leather crafts, zip line, kayaking, and tug-of-war.

2024 National Virtual JA Camp

Dates: June 10 – June 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM ET

Location: Virtual

Disability / Special Need: Juvenile Arthritis Ages 8 – 17

Fee: $25

Event Features: With many summer camps being in-person, it’s great to see virtual summer camps still being offered. The Arthritis Foundation hosts live virtual summer camp sessions for campers with juvenile arthritis and childhood rheumatic diseases. In this virtual camp, campers will have the opportunity to participate in camp sessions and receive a JA Camp activity workbook and kit in the mail. They will be able to develop peer-to-peer support by connecting virtually, discovering new interests, and developing the skills they need to be leaders, advocates, and champions in their everyday lives.

Adaptive Summer Day Camp at Clay Madsen Recreation Center

Dates and Times: May 28, 2024 – August 2, 2024, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Location: 1600 Gattis School Rd, Round Rock, TX 78664

Ages: 5 – 12 years old

Fee: $115 – $190

Event Features: The Adaptive Summer Day Camp focuses on providing campers with an adaptive schedule filled with various themes and activities! The daily schedule is divided into two parts: the first part of the day is dedicated to instructional classes in the chosen activity, while the second part is packed with exciting activities. Some favorite activities and field trips include arts and crafts, sports, group games, Water Day, Candlelight Ranch, Cameron Park Zoo, and more!

ZOO CAMP: Explore Waco Sessions

Dates and Times:  June 10 – 14, 2024 and July 8 – 12, 2024

Ages: 12 – 14 years old

Fee: $375/Members | $400/Non-members

Event Features: Join Cameron Park Zoo for their annual Explore Waco Zoo Camp! Campers will explore the Zoo and have additional adventures throughout the week exploring popular Waco destinations. Since the camp includes an overnight sleepover on Thursday, it’s designed for older campers aged 12-14 years old. Explore Waco students will hike in Cameron Park, visit the Mammoth Site, Mayborn Museum, and Lake Waco Wetlands, go horseback riding, take a boat trip on the Brazos, have fun at Hawaiian Falls, and spend the night at the Zoo!

Columbus Avenue Camp 2024

Dates and Times: June 3, 2024 – August 9, 2024, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Location: 1300 Columbus Avenue, Waco, Texas 76701.

Ages: K – 6th Grade

Fee: Registration fee- $50

K – 6th $150 / week

Event Features: Give your children the opportunity to learn about God’s love throughout the summer at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church’s camp! This day camp uses daily worship, Bible studies, and fun activities to promote Christ-like actions. Other activities include field trips to Cameron Park Zoo, West Pool, and Hawaiian Falls Waco, as well as swimming and organized games!

Greater Waco YMCA Summer Camp Full-Day

Dates and Times: May 28, 2024 – August 9, 2024, from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM for full-day

Ages: Entering K – 6th Grade

Event Features: At the YMCA, kids have the opportunity to discover new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And of course, it’s all about fun! Few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn independence and how to contribute to a group through engaging in physical, social, and educational activities. From outdoor adventures to creative arts, sports, and team-building, summer camps at Greater Waco YMCA offer a range of activities that cater to all interests and age groups.

Highland Baptist Church Day Camp

Dates and Times: July 22 – 26, 2024 from 9 AM– 4 PM

Ages: Upcoming 1st – 6th graders

Event Features: Get your kids ready for a week of excitement at Highland Baptist Church day camp! While you work, your kids will be jumping, singing, and cheering their energy out with camp counselors and new camper friends. From hilarious skits and adventurous activities to moving Bible studies and worship time, campers will have a jam-packed week of fun events. St. Paul’s Park & Rec Summer 2024

Dates and Times: June 3 – August 2, 2024, from Full Day Camps (9 AM – 4 PM) | Half Day Camps (9 AM – 12 PM or 1 PM – 4 PM)
