Get Ready for the Amy Games: A Family-Friendly Day of Fun Benefiting Salado High School Athletics

Amy Games

The Salado community is invited to come together for a day of excitement and competition at the inaugural Amy Games, set for Saturday, October 18 from 10am to 2pm. This family-friendly event will benefit Salado High School Athletics, with proceeds supporting student-athletes and sports programs that help shape tomorrow’s leaders.

The Amy Games will feature four signature contests designed for all ages:

Cornhole for Kids – 10:00am – 11:00am

Children will compete in a lively cornhole tournament divided into three age brackets:

· Ages 7–9
· Ages 10–12
· Ages 13–15

Winners in each age group will receive a $150 cash prize along with a gift package donated by generous local businesses. Whether you’re tossing for glory or cheering from the sidelines, the cornhole tournament promises smiles and spirited competition for the whole family.

Jump Rope – Single and Double Dutch – 10:00am – 11:00am

Young adults

· Ages 13 – 15
· Ages 16 – 18

Winners in each age group will receive a $150 cash prize along with a gift package donated by generous local businesses. Whether you’re tossing for glory or cheering from the sidelines, the cornhole tournament promises smiles and spirited competition for the whole family.

Egg Race – 11:00am – 12:00pm

Bocce Ball for Adults – 12:00pm – 1:00pm

Adults are invited to battle it out in a hilarious and good-natured bocce ball contest, featuring two cheekily named age brackets:

· “Not Too Old”

· “Older Than Most”

The winner will earn bragging rights—and a free dinner at The Pizza Place in Salado, a local favorite known for its welcoming atmosphere and mouthwatering menu.

“The Amy Games are about more than just fun—they’re about community,” said Taylor Graves event coordinator. “It’s a chance for families to play together, support our youth, and celebrate everything that makes Salado special.”

The event will also include food vendors, music, and opportunities to connect with local businesses and supporters of Salado High School Athletics. Admission is free, and game donations will go directly to funding sports equipment, uniforms, and travel for student teams.
